DUTIES

  • Using ESRI GIS software, I assisted in the creation, analysis, distribution and general management of natural and cultural resource GIS data at this company.

PROJECTS

  • Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation - Utilized ESRI ArcGIS 8.3 business analyst to provide demographic analysis to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for their conservation, and fund raising efforts.
  • ArcIMS Natural Resource Conservation Registry – Assisted in the management, and maintenance of an ArcIMS website designed to facilitate communication between natural resource managers and conservationists.  The map based website allowed groups such as local, federal governments and non-profits to view their conservation project, while querying the map to see any neighbouring projects with similar goals and interests. This ArcIMS website successfully facilitated cooperation and conservation agreements between conservationists who were previously unaware of each others efforts.
  • Invasive Weed mapping - Utilized PAMAP and ArcView 3.2 to map the spread and control of noxious weeds throughout Western Montana.
  • Public High School Redistricting – Provided GIS support to Missoula County schools for their redistricting plans by creating address based district polygons.
